Tasting Room General Manager

Founded and located in Lyons, CO in 2011, Spirit Hound Distillers’ mission is to be Colorado’s best crafter of distilled spirits. We define what a ‘handcrafted distillery’ means. We do everything ourselves at the distillery: brewing, fermenting, distilling, aging, and bottling. We even built our own still by hand. We use 100% sourced barley from Colorado. Our signature straight malt whiskey recently won “Whiskey of the Year” from the London Spirits Competition. We are a fast-growing, fun and results focused pack who values:

We have had a Tasting Room at our Lyons distillery since our founding and are opening a Denver Tasting Room in the exciting Highlands neighborhood area this summer. We are looking for a Tasting Room General Manager who values hard-work, has an entrepreneurial spirit and is excited to build our Denver operation and their own career.

Our Tasting Rooms are all about the customer experience, they are an extension of our brand and offer a relaxed, fun and exceptional atmosphere for customers to be ‘part of the Pack’. We offer hand crafted cocktails made exclusively with our own small batch spirits, light snack food as well as bottle and merchandise sales. The Tasting Room is neither a restaurant (no full kitchen or food menu) nor a bar (we only sell our handmade spirits and our hours are much more limited: 3p-9p weekdays, 11a-10p weekends).

We are searching for the right person with the capability and autonomy to launch this location and manage all aspects of the Tasting Room operations and performance. In this role, the Denver GM will build and lead the Denver Pack of bar staff with full responsibility for team structure, recruiting, position descriptions, implementing SOPs, team training & coaching, scheduling, financial & budget management (experience preferred, but not required, we are eager to train the right candidate), and supervising. The Denver GM will also plan and oversee ongoing programming of Tasting Room entertainment events and special events both in our private rentable space and planned around product releases. He/She will also lead social media content to help drive content and advertising on-line. They will lead in creating exciting promotions and guild clubs to attack, retain and gain customers.
