Our goal is to provide a top-notch customer shopping experience by recommending the right products and delivering the best possible service. Tackle Warehouse is transitioning to a new, more advanced website platform and looking for an individual who can help with the transition and future maintenance of our product categorization. This individual would help optimize and maintain our product database, ensuring that all products are displayed accurately and effectively. Other duties include tracking and preparing various reports.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently and also as part of a team. The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain and organize large amounts of data. Basic fishing knowledge is a plus but not required, as long as you have a desire to learn.

Product Categorization Specialist Job Duties

• Maintain database by entering new and updated product information
• Ensure products display correctly on company website
• Obtain and record technical product details, specifications, and measurements
• Compile, verify accuracy and sort product information
• Review data for deficiencies or errors and correct any incompatibilities
• Establishes entry priorities
• Apply data program techniques and procedures
• Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations
• Maintain confidentiality
• Comply with data integrity and security policies
• Other duties deemed necessary in the daily operation of Sports Warehouse

• Experience with database management and/or accounting
• Possess good problem-solving skills and at least basic research skills
• Focus, maintain attention to detail, and balance multiple duties in a dynamic environment
• Be flexible during busy times by helping fellow co-workers and function as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of fishing or desire to learn about fishing
• Communicate clearly and professionally when speaking and writing
• Take direction well and learn in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and productively prioritize tasks
• Ability to meet deadlines and complete systematic tasks quickly and accurately
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Computer literate and possess good keyboard skills
• Basic Microsoft Office experience

• Data entry experience or related office experience a plus

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers and telephones.
