Position Summary
The Systems Test and QA Technician is responsible for maintaining our fleet of test products, executing tests plans and documenting test results, and working closely with design team throughout development of Photo Kiosk Systems. This position is onsite at our Rochester, NY office.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain fleet of test products (kiosks, printers, and other peripherals) maintaining customer configurations.
- Provide technical support to engineers and quality leads on a variety of technical tasks.
- Perform test cases according to test plans, record, organize, analyze, and present results.
- Perform tests in ambient lab environment and environmental chambers.
- Communicate with multi-functional team and report problems using incident tracking system.
- Perform technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action.
- Ensure test equipment is updated, as necessary, with any hardware or firmware changes.
- Must be able to work in a fast pace, changing environment.
- Associates Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience (1-4 years).
- Basic technical writing skills to support test documentation, test status and problem reports.
- Experience in computer-based systems testing, modern test methodologies, development, and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
- Ability to present a clear, concise, visual message through data, both in summary and detail.
- Orientation toward detail and thoroughness.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated, aptitude to learn quickly, take initiative and work with minimal guidance.
- Experience with Kodak Kiosk Systems and products a plus
- Experience executing test plans/scripts.
- Proficient with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
- Desired Knowledge Specifications:
- Familiarity with Incident Report tracking tools; Atlassian Jira a plus
- Familiarity with computer features and peripherals (printers, scanners, monitors, card readers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cameras).
- Experience with Kodak Kiosks, thermal photo printers and printing applications (firmware, SDK, print drivers and digital cameras)
