Balboa Travel, one of San Diego’s premier travel agencies, is seeking a qualified individual to assist us in configuring / maintaining our voice and data networks at our Sorrento Mesa location.

We are seeking an individual who has relevant work experience in the following areas:
· Windows Server
· Microsoft Exchange
· Windows 10
· Microsoft 365
· VMware/ESXi/vSAN
· Veeam Backups
· Sophos Endpoint Protection and UTM Firewall
· Duo MFA
· Cisco Routers, HP Switches and Sonicwall
· Mitel VoIP phone system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the configuration and administration of servers, operating systems, network devices and VoIP system.
- Assist in the administration of Active Directory environments.
- Perform virtual machine deployment and management of new and existing systems.
- Responsible for security, troubleshoot systems, virtualization, and performance monitoring.
- Monitor and operate server, storage, and backup infrastructure systems and related disaster recovery processes.
- Responsible for vulnerability remediation and resolution efforts across various infrastructure systems.
- Create necessary documentation for administered and maintained systems along with associated processes.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and work with unfamiliar network and machine operating systems with the desire to leverage automation tasks against repeatable tasks.
- Manage and facilitate the progress of assigned technical IT-related projects and taskings.

Operations and Support:
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Provide support to other departments; investigate and troubleshoot system hardware, software, and application issues.
- Provide support for operational issues possibly during and after normal business hours.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Demonstrate the ability to train operational departments with documented processes and procedures.

Maintenance:
- Assist with testing and applying OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrades of administrative tools and utilities.
- Upgrade and configure system software that supports the company’s infrastructure and its application services per operational need.
- Perform system maintenance to network devices, firewalls, and servers during approved maintenance windows.
- Participate and assist in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to meet compliance requirements.
- Maintain and draft operational, configuration, and other procedures and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Administration experience of Microsoft Windows Server administration and Active Directory environments
- Administration experience of virtualization platform.
- Familiar with disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Team player with the ability to communicate and present to non-technical audience.
- Be open to occasional travel as necessary.
- Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience working across multiple technical disciplines.
- CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Familiarity with installation/setup of Sabre, Amadeus and other travel agency applications a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
