Position Description

The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is responsible for providing and supervising technical support for pharmacy operations in accordance with The Georgia State Board of Pharmacy, The Joint Commission, DEA, USP 797, and any other regulatory and accrediting agencies. The position will act in accordance with protocols, health-system policies and procedures, applicable standards, and pharmacy best practices. The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor will also be responsible for furthering the hospital's mission of education.

Position Requirements

High school diploma or GED and 3 years or more of experience in hospital pharmacy. Exceptional organizational skills, strong interpersonal/communication skills and customer service focus; attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize, math and computer proficiency. CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) acquired from PTCB or NHA. GA Pharmacy Technician License.

Preferred Requirements

5 years or more of experience in hospital pharmacy and previous supervisory experience. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability, demonstrated commitment to safe medication practices, patient safety, evidence of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and within a team, flexibility and able to accommodate changing priorities.
