JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE:Shipping / Material Handler, Support Worker Ft. Pierce, FL
DEPARTMENT:Shipping/ Parcel/ Fleet Delivery
REPORTS TO:Warehouse Manager
MAJOR FUNCTION
This position will require basic warehousing and shipping background and experience.
The primary function of this role will be a variety of shipping / warehouse duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Locating and picking parts for shipment.
- Packing service parts for shipment.
- Processing shipments thru various carriers.
- Packaging or boxing parts per order specifications
- Loading and unloading of trucks.
- Palletizing materials to required shipping method. Make ready for shipping.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least (3) three months experience in warehousing or production environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
- Ability to use gun scanners effectively.
- Candidate must demonstrate problem solving skills.
- Must have good math skills and be detailed oriented.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must pick parts from heightened areas.
- Must be able to perform working conditions which includes standing,
walking or bending for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours.
- Must be able to work scheduled or unscheduled overtime when necessary to meet business demands.
- Forklift driving experience a must.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform duties such as stocking, organizing and handling
of machines or parts.
Must be able to work in a team environment and have a positive winning attitude.
Must have high level of professionalism, maturity, and good judgment.
- Must have good attendance and background.
