The
Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, is seeking candidates for the
Support Services Attendant position. This position provides custodial or related support for animal clinics and holding facilities.

Essential Functions
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Cleans, organizes, and disinfects animal quarters such as pens, stables, cages, wards, and yards, and equipment.
- Prepares animal quarters with necessary supplies, such as cat litter, food water, towels, trays, and cage paper and communicates to appropriate personnel supplies that need to be ordered.
Assists in laundering and storing of linens.
Assists in the transportation of animals and supplies to designated locations.
Assists in providing minor maintenance throughout the clinic grounds.
Maintains grounds and common areas around animal quarters and clinic.
May assist with animal feeding, care and observation.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Support services Level I: Ability to read and write.
Support Services level II: Ability to read and write with 2 years of experience in custodial services.
Substitutions allowed for Experience:
When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
Certification or Licensure Requirements:
Driver’s License required.
Support services Level I: Ability to read and write.
Support Services level II: Ability to read and write with 2 years of experience in custodial services.
