Duties

Position duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Works with their team and other stakeholders to achieve necessary results and solve problems. Provides direction, guidance, and support to employees while assigning work at the appropriate level. Ensures team productivity and efficiency while supporting professional development plans for employees.
  • Leads and integrates functional teams to analyze/refine program requirements and continuously coordinate with users to determine appropriate interpretation.
  • Conducts advanced acquisition planning and programming to produce the acquisition strategy and program plan, and coordinates acquisitions through the contracting process (e.g., contracting milestones, solicitation, source selection, award, negotiation, and administration).
  • Leads, plans, organizes, staffs, and monitors specific acquisition programs to ensure they meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements throughout the life cycle. Manages ongoing working relationships and expectations with customers, stakeholders, users, and decision authorities throughout the program life cycle.
  • Establishes and approves performance and mission contribution standards, evaluating performance and mission contribution, assigning performance ratings and Overall Contribution Scores, providing effective feedback, participating in pay pool meetings, and supporting position classifications

  • This is a designated Drug Testing Position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
  • Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled.

  • This is an acquisition coded position. Selectee must complete achieve Practitioner level certification in Program Management within 60 months of assignment.

Required Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to DO-02/GS-13 level in the Federal service or equivalent in other pay systems that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience includes reviewing and directing the progress of contractors in meeting program objectives; developing, implementing, and controlling contractual, financial, and technical aspects of an acquisition project/program; the ability to demonstrate knowledge in the policies and practices of system acquisition and program management by performing such duties as studying and reviewing program progress in the areas of contracting, engineering, and data management; and develops recommendations to solve problem areas within a program and conducts briefings to report on program/project status. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the DO-02/GS-13 broadband position in the federal service.
