Essential duties and responsibilities

• Assigns Team member to specific equipment and tasks.
• Interprets specifications, prints and job orders to workers.
• Adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance and quality of products.
• Reports any maintenance or safety needs immediately.
• Enforces safety regulations.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of production departments.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Communicates with other group leaders to insure a constant flow of information about all aspects of production.
• Performs activities of workers supervised.
• Works overtime as needed. Works various shifts.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance.
• Maintains a neat and safe work environment.
• Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Supervisory responsibilities:

Supervises 20 to 25 employees in the production department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include administer all verbal and written warnings including suspensions training, planning direct reports, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
