Zachry is currently seeking an experienced Rigging Superintendent.

Position Summary:

The Rigging/Structural Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day management functions directly related to the installation of rigging/erecting of structural steel systems; implementation of project safety program, craft staffing, labor issues, Implementing planned/scheduled erection sequence, maintaining budget, identification of trends and changes of issues related to erection and coordination with the cost department.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• The field Rigging Superintendent Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Assures implementation of the site erection plan meets the method and approach of the Project Execution Plan, project schedule, and erection sequence.
• Assures the development and implementation of the Site Safety Program.
• Responsible for assigned scope site budgets, cost, and schedule
• Responsible for assuring implementation of project procedures related to safety and the structural department
• Responsible for overall rigging/structural installation management of support departments i.e. Cost/Schedule, Procurement, Safety, Field Engineering/Supervision, Subcontracts
• Assures adherence to the site Quality Control Program in his related scope of assignment
• Coordination with equipment supplier Technical Advisors for quality control of installations
• Responsible for requisitioning temporary material and tool purchase for erection
• Responsible for requisitioning construction equipment required for erection
• Preparation of cost forecasts coordinated with field engineering and cost department
• Responsible for day-to-day coordination with contractors and craft on site.
• Maintains implementation of the project Environment Control Plan
• Conducts site walks for Safety with team members and site management
• Assures coordination between supervision and labor
• Provides details for weekly site schedule meetings and 90-day look-ahead meetings.
• Assures lessons learned are captured and documented to field engineering.
• Responsible for quality control of installation, documentation, and reporting of installed quantities

Basic Qualifications:

10-15 years experience

Physical Requirements

• Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
• Will talk and hear to communicate.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
• May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
• Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, earplugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather steel-toed work boots.

Physical demands:

• Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing , walking, bending, squatting and lifting
• Will talk and hear to communicate
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
• Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand directions.
• May be required to lift up to 20 lbs, carry and move objects safety.
• Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work off platforms.

Work Environment:

• Will work in office environment and occasionally in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot – cool/cold.
• Occasional rain.
• Will work at different elevations.
• Noise levels will be moderate to high.
• Jobsite will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles –small to large equipment, materials, communicate equipment and tools. People standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking. Bells, whistles and alarms.
