Job description

We are actively searching for an experienced Superintendent in the greater Annapolis MD area for a rapidly growing commercial general contractor. Looking for someone to manage commercial construction projects and supervise the day-to-day activities involved with ground-up construction, renovations and tenant fit-outs. Working within a 40 miles radius this company prides themselves on offering strong compensation, room to grow & work life balance without the hour to work commute.

Superintendent Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with clients, Project Managers and other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
• Uphold and enforce site safety policies and procedures in accordance with the company and owner requirements as well as local, state and federal regulations.
• Interact with clients on a daily basis, acting as the onsite face of the company.
• Be the onsite expert at understanding blueprints and communicating those plans to subcontractors, client and project personnel.
• Hold meetings with subcontractors and other site personnel to discuss planning and review overall site safety and risk mitigation plans.
• Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.

Superintendent Requirements:

• 5-10 years of on-the-job experience leading personnel in the completion of construction projects ranging from $500,000-$5 million in total construction.
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
• In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
• A strong knowledge and understanding of reading, understanding and communicating project documents, contracts, drawings, etc.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Project and Excel.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• OSHA 30 Certification (certification and/or re-certification can be completed upon hiring).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
