Job Overview – The Summer Enrichment Assistant will provide academic support to small groups of students in our Intensive Reading Program, working closely with classroom teachers during these morning academic sessions. The Summer Enrichment Assistant will also lead afternoon non-academic activities, such as Arts & Crafts, Recreation, and STEM projects, as planned and provided by the Co-Directors. Classroom experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework related to education, child development, and/or related field.
• Experience working with students as a teacher, educational aide, or after-school care provider for grades 1-8.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience working with students with learning differences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with program personnel to implement curriculum and programming which expands and supports student learning experiences.
• Effectively support the needs of students with learning differences.
• Promote a safe and healthy environment.
• Appropriately redirect negative student behaviors.
• Assist at morning and afternoon car line.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $11.00 - $15.89 per hour
