Summer Camp Counselor temporary position available May 30-August 1.

Legacy Adventure Summer Camp is a summer day camp open Monday-Friday; 6:30am-6:30pm. This program takes school aged children on field trips daily, and offers in facility activities and crafts.

Camp Counselor staff deliver and ensure program satisfaction through the implementation and daily supervision of campers at our daily summer camp. They are responsible for planning, leading, and implementing recreational and creative experiences for school aged children in a group setting. Each participant's safety and enjoyment are attained in child development by promoting and role modeling a healthy, active, and safe environment.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

- Provide premier service to all children and families and meet children's needs

- Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers on a daily basis.

- Apply basic youth development principles in children through communication, relationship development, and respect for diversity.

- Must be able to work in heat and be active

- Must be able to work with large number of children in stressful situations

- Participate in all program activities and daily field trips

- Supervise campers at all times, be alert to all surroundings, proper care, and ability to communicate and report all issues or accidents

- Set a good example to all campers in regards to sanitation, schedule, sportsmanship, and organization

- Offering camp counselor positions at three locations. These locations are Sugar Hill, Buford, and Duluth.

Education/Experience:

- Must be at least 17 years of age

- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

- CPR/First Aid certified(PREFERRED, NOT REQUIRED)

- 1-2 years experience working with school aged children, preferred

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
