Doctor Bird Schools of St Petersburg, FL is seeking to hire part-time Student Monitors to ensure the students we transport feel safe and secure while traveling to and from school. The typical schedule for this position is 2 hours before school and 2 hours after school. Our Student Monitors can earn $275-$375/week. ABOUT DOCTOR BIRD
Doctor Bird supplements school districts' transportation programs by providing Student Monitors to assist in transporting McKinney-Vento, ESE/special needs, and hard-to-serve students. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STUDENT MONITOR
As a Student Monitor, you play a vital role in helping our K-12 students as they are driven to and from school. Some students need help getting in and out of the vehicle, and you are happy to assist them. Your patient and gentle demeanor aids you in keeping students calm and relaxed. You also help maintain a clean and orderly environment. The best part of your job is providing friendship and support to the children in our care. By learning about their interests, finding out about their likes and dislikes, listening to them, and participating in regular conversation, you are able to develop a caring and sincere relationship.
We strive to better understand and respond to the needs of our diverse passenger/student community, and you are essential in achieving this. It is rewarding to know that you have the opportunity to touch the lives of the children and families in our care as you assist in transporting them from point A to point B. The parents, school, and the driver know they can rely on you to ensure that each student is being taken care of.
QUALIFICATIONS
Passion for working with children who have special needs- Physical ability to assist passengers getting in and out of vehicles
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
