Student Assistant – University Realty
University Realty provides ASU with diverse real estate expertise to execute and assist with real estate transactions that ASU is unable to or, for a variety of reasons, chooses not to undertake. These services result in resources or owned assets that benefit ASU, such as differentiated endowment returns from commercial real estate development or partnerships; unique financing strategies to enable construction/renovation; and identifying and processing gifts of real estate.
The student will be responsible for working with Director of Real Estate Assets and University Realty team on current and future real estate acquisition/disposition and development opportunities, as well as other various tasks and initiatives.
The position will require approximately 20 hours per week during the summer semester.
What you’ll do:
  • Collaborates with the Director, Real Estate Assets, and other members of the University Realty team on various tasks and initiatives
  • Supports the University Realty team in creating proposals and reports as needed
  • Assists with data entry and electronic and paper filing; implements process improvements as needed
  • Represents University Realty to external stakeholders and partners, such as real estate brokers
  • Assists the University Realty team with community outreach activities and schedules associated meetings
  • Responsible for appointment setting as a means to promote University Realty to external organizations and stakeholders
  • Assists with document management and internal/external communications
  • Attends and shadows various University Realty meetings and networking events
  • Conducts real estate related research in support of the University Realty team
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries and University business and confidential prospect information
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to quickly learn new software programs as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Visio a plus
  • Problem solver who can take initiative and set priorities while being flexible
  • Team-oriented strategist able to effectively manage complex situations involving numerous and sometimes competing constituencies
  • Ability to represent the institution well
  • An advocate’s belief in the vision of ASU as the New American University
  • Adept at navigating complex environments with evolving priorities and communication plans
Relevant qualifications:
  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at Arizona State University
  • The student must be willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at Arizona State University studying Real Estate/have completed coursework in a related field
