The Strategic Planning Senior Manager role is responsible for Cox Automotive data strategy at the corporate level, specifically assessing CA's data needs across business units and developing data strategy to identify significant opportunities and generate new capabilities.

The Senior Manager serves as a data resource for Cox Automotive and will be proactively working with all BUs to form partnerships, provide thought leadership, and address data needs to support the execution of key initiatives. The position demands frequent interaction with all levels of the organization, both in business unit itself and within corporate. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, organized, proactive, team-oriented and highly motivated.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for developing and gaining alignment on strategic opportunities aligned to the company's priorities and future direction.
  • Develop business cases to help CA/BU leaders make strategic decisions on key initiatives.
  • Solve complex problems by applying strong analytical skills and formulate recommendations to leadership.
  • Prioritize deliverables to align with Cox Automotive priorities.
  • Lead the preparation of communications, meeting materials, and formal meeting summary deliverables; communicate and influence with area leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with other Cox Automotive corporate functions where appropriate such as Legal, Product, Engineering, Supply Chain etc.
  • Conduct market analyses for key information services sub-segments within the Automotive Services industry. Each market analysis includes fundamental information such as estimated size of the market, main competitors, key trends around the sub-segments and recommended action to capitalize on the market.
  • For opportunities identified from market analyses, develop business case and go-to-market strategies to capitalize on the opportunities and present strategies to appropriate executives to build the case for funding and specific actions to capitalize on the opportunities.
  • Develop recommended pricing for existing strategic data assets which do not yet have rate cards or for emerging information service products that are currently being developed.
  • Proactively seek to understand the major data players in the Automotive Services industry and keep tabs on the most significant information services products launched each year across the industry. Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, automotive data, and pricing strategies.
  • Articulate our data strategy for "where to play", "how to win" & "what to do " (for Cox Automotive & BUs)


Qualifications:


  • Need to be located in Atlanta Georgia.
  • BA or BS Degree required and 8 years of relevant industry experience needed.
  • 8 years of increasing and relevant experience in business strategy or strategy/management consulting.
  • Demonstrated advanced strategic and analytical skills and business acumen, evidenced by a proven track record in successfully developing and implementing impactful, practical business/data strategies that have been implemented successfully.
  • Possesses advanced management skills to lead individuals directly and indirectly in a matrixed organization.
  • Proven track record of mastered execution and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Previous experience leading individuals or teams of professionals in related fields.
  • Track record of success establishing buy-in for ideas across functions and business units.
  • Strong ability to influence.
  • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements..
  • Passion for storytelling, developing concepts for fresh ideas, and translating market insights into compelling pitches.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced growth-company environment (sense of urgency, adaptable, champion of change)
  • Mastery in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Travel as needed (
