Store Manager – Super Suds Woodhaven Laundromat
The person hired for this role will manage the day-to-day operations of Super Suds Woodhaven, one of the cleanest and nicest laundromats Downriver. Most days, you will work alone and handle many of the attendant duties. Those will be listed below. In addition to the attendant duties, you will also handle store ordering, scheduling along with managing one to two employees who will cover your days off.
You will be expected to work 5 days per week most weeks. Some weekend shifts will be required if there is a call-off, or if you do not have an attendant available to cover a shift. This job will require flexibility because you will be expected to cover shifts if one of your attendants calls off. You will receive additional compensation or a comp day if you work more than 5 days in a given week. This store requires staffing 7 days per week. This is not a job where you call-off or miss work without planning well in advance.
The ideal candidate possesses the following characteristics: 1.) dependability, flexibility and reliability, 2.) customer service oriented, 3.) willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever needs to be done for the store to run well, and 4.) great communication skills.

Store Manager Responsibilities:
- Complete all Attendant responsibilities listed below on days you work alone.
- Ensure Attendants are completing cleaning duties.
- Order and pick up Sam’s Club supplies weekly.
- Complete scheduling on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
- Manage pick up and drop service.
- Fill change machines with quarters as needed.
- Deal with customer escalations effectively.
- Remain in regular contact with the owner regarding any needs or issues with the store.
- May be required to go to store during off-hours to deal with things like a clogged drain, the occasional homeless person who must be expelled, and machine issues.
Attendant Responsibilities:
- Receives wash & fold orders & provides customer with receipt.
- Sorts laundry items received for washing by colors and whites.
- Clean floor drains weekly.
- Performs washing of customer laundry (includes pre-treating all clothing).
- Loads & operates dryers, insuring proper weight of load and correctness of temperature.
- Neatly fold & bag laundry for customer pick up.
- Help customers using washers, dryers and vending machines and coin machines.
- Maintains cleanliness of store by wiping machine tops, soap receptacles & folding tables.
- Sweep & mop floors as needed throughout the day & at the start and finish of each shift.
- Changes trash & takes it to the dumpster as needed through the day.
- Keeps bathroom clean & stocked.
- Cleans lint filters at the start of each morning shift to maintain optimum efficiency of dryers.
- Reports any equipment not working properly to Jason or Sharon.
- Restock vending machines.
- Makes change for customers & sells customers quarters.
- Completes all tasks on Opening & Closing Checklist.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work under pressure with a variety of customers and personalities.
- Must be good with people and work well with others.
- Must report to work on time each day & stay until the end of your scheduled shift.
- Must be willing to work 8:30 am to 6:00 pm when scheduled for this shift.
