Stand up forklift operators are responsible for the accurate selection, staging, and consistent flow of components in support of the production life-cycle process to support daily goals and objectives. This is hybrid position that must willingly participate and support all production tasks as required. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of safety. Requires an analytical mindset to accurately track, account for, and maintain production inventory and supplies. Must be flexible and willing to perform at levels to meet the demands during peak production times.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to safely operate and maintain a powered industrial forklift to support the pre and post-production process.
- Accurately and efficiently pick, count, and transport components related to the production process to the designated production/shipping cell area.
- Ensure production areas are fully stocked and have the continuous products needed to fulfill and ship orders.
- Take ownership of the quality and integrity of components and finished goods.
- Maintain a high degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
- Complete and record daily and weekly pre/post-shift forklift inspection checklist. Timely report all incidents and need for required maintenance.
- Able to receive and maintain forklift certification and perform daily required inspections per OSHA and Company standards.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by Company and OSHA standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous stand-up forklift experience is necessary.
- Comprehend English language with the ability to communicate through reading, speaking and writing.
- Basic computer skills required to input data, print/track orders, and perform numerous tasks related the production and shipping process.
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
- Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping required records.
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner with the ability to perform a task through to completion
- Maintain a clean & safe environment working environment.
- Participate and pass all Company forklift training per OSHA mandate once every year
