Staff Engineer – Sheridan, WY
Trihydro, a mid-sized engineering and environmental consulting firm with a nationwide footprint, is seeking an entry or mid-level engineer to join its team. This position will focus on field support; construction oversight; site inspections; engineering drawings, figures, and technical specifications; environmental sampling; data management and presentation; and report writing. Responsibilities
In your role as a staff engineer, you will have responsibilities such as managing tasks (leading to future project management), developing design criteria and calculations, developing detailed construction plans and related documentation, performing site inspections, collecting field data, conducting multimedia sampling, supporting permit compliance activities, performing landfill construction quality assurance, overseeing remedial system construction, reviewing data, performing construction inspections, assisting with construction administration, writing reports and proposals, and supporting client relations.
The position requires up to 30% travel to various project locations.
Position requirements
0-5 years of relevant experience
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team members verbally and in writing
Positive employment or academic history
Commitment to safe work practices
Initiative and motivation with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule
Strong interpersonal skills and reliable, team-oriented work habits
Ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices
A clean driving record
Ability to work independently
Location
The role is located in our Sheridan, Wyoming office. Sheridan is nestled in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains and is known for its rich history, outdoor recreation, and Western hospitality.
