Staff Accountant Professional

Detweiler Hershey & Associates is seeking a staff accountant to join our growing firm of tax and audit professionals. We are a dynamic firm providing an array of financial consulting, tax and accounting services for individuals, and large and small enterprises primarily in the Montgomery and Bucks County areas of Pennsylvania.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• A business degree with a major in accounting
• CPA license or the ability to sit for the CPA exam
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
• QuickBooks experience is a plus
• Personal integrity coupled with effective communication skills
• A proven work ethic and strong analytical skills exemplified by quality work produced under tight deadlines
• Research skills

Staff Accountant responsibilities:

• Preparation of personal and business tax returns
• Working on attest engagements – compilation, review and audits
• Preparation of payroll taxes
