Position: Senior Merchant – Victoria’s Secret Global
Your Role
Lead the team in driving sales, growth, and margin, supporting total brand objectives based on a robust understanding of the customer. Primary contact for planning, store ops, marketing, and visual to ensure the brand vision is consistently executed and the right product distortions are communicated to create a one of a kind in store shopping experience. Possesses strong leadership skills as they are ultimately responsible for driving cross-functional communication and motivating the team to be customer focused, innovative, fast, and team oriented in their work.

Your Impact
Leadership & Strategy
- Drives international brand businesses by connecting financial patterns and market insights to identify growth opportunities, while maintaining the replication model
- Demonstrates a holistic approach and champions cross-category alignment and partnership
- Contributes to the success of the categories through replicating and adapting brand strategies in markets around the world while meeting or exceeding the financial goals
- Drives category business by “outside of the box” thinking that connects the lines between financial patterns and market/store insights to identify growth opportunities
- Leads day to day communication between all members of the team
- Represents international in key brand & cross-functional meetings, driving prioritization and distortion
- Actively reacts to shifts in performance and provides recommended actions
Financial
- Accountable for sales and growth targets, recognizing opportunities for incremental growth and risk management
- Drives category alignment and collaboration with planning partners
- Understands product sales trends and historical data at the category level in order to manage in season opportunities.
- Collaborates across departments to build and cascade seasonal hindsight, focusing on impact to forward strategy
- Partners with deployment, space planning and demand forecasters to maximize inventory investments and product availability leveraging market insights
- Align with planning on incremental size assortment and buys
Product
- Influences domestic brand merchants on international needs when different approach is required from the global assortments
- Drives decisions around assortment edits/distortions by market
- Partners with domestic brand merchants to drive their vision across the globe
- Understands customer intimacy and competitive environment; proactively seeking knowledge through exposure and travel to market
Cross Functional Communication & Partner Support
- Owns internal and external partner communication from a merchandising perspective: maintain strong line of communication with field team and directly with partners when applicable
Talent
- Trains, motivates, and develops the team to ensure effective performance and growth through consistent on-the-job training
- Acts as a role model within the company by coaching and teaching team members to work together and remain focused
Qualifications
Your Experience
- 5 - 7 years with Brand Development and Merchandise Buying with 1-2 years of management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related field
- Multi-category experience required
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence across different levels
- Proved strategic, analytical, and creative thinking skills
- Demonstrated passion for delivering results while maintaining flexibility
- Ability to anticipate next, course correct, and manage change
- Solid management experience and proven leadership to inspire a team with unquestionable integrity and trust
- Ability to adapt well to diverse audiences and environments
- Proficiency in MS Office/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
- International experience a plus
