Financial Analyst

Titan America has an opening for a skilled and motivated professional Sr. Financial Analyst, to join our Finance & Accounting Team in our Florida Business Unit (FBU) headquarters, Deerfield Beach. This salary exempt position will support the FBU product lines and report to the Cement and Aggregates Product Line Controller with dotted line responsibility to the
Concrete Product Line Controller.
Responsibilities Include:
The Sr. Financial Analyst will provide analytical support for key requirements and assists with business analysis, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting as directed. The Analyst utilizes the data infrastructure by extracting, aggregating, and dissecting financial data and performance metrics. Leveraging recurring and ad hoc management reporting, the Analyst identifies trends, supports business cases and develops knowledge of business opportunities and risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis: Uses deep understanding of objectives, issues and root causes and provides insightful, fact-based data analysis to help solve complex problems (revenue, costs, logistics, and profit optimization)
- Assists with the creation of financial models, research and analyses of trends, leading indicators and business statistics
- Utilizes data infrastructure by extracting, aggregating, and dissecting financial data and performance metrics
- Leverages recurring and ad hoc management reporting to identify trends, support business cases and understand opportunities and risks
Operating Planning and Forecasting: Supports management to create an annual budget that is aligned to the strategic plan and performs forecasting to provide visibility into business results to enable business decisions
- Assists with business analysis for the annual budget and forecasting as directed
Strategic Planning and Initiatives: Supports management to develop strategies and initiatives to drive growth and margin improvements. Executes on strategic initiatives such as M&A support, product launches, market entry, and process improvement efforts
- Scans research and data sources identifying and recommending best resources to mine information on business initiative requests
- Maintains an awareness of general business and financial conditions
Business Partnering: Partners with Key Stakeholders and Business Partners to align on business priorities and drive effective solutions/execution. Constructively communicates compelling arguments based on facts and data, and obtains necessary buy-in to deliver on business objectives
- Builds working relationships with management and other partners in support of key priorities and objectives through analytics
Qualifications:
- BS - Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.
- MBA or credits toward MBA in Business Analytics or similar degree preferred.
- 0 - 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel, required.
- Data Analysis experience, and knowledge of SAP and Hyperion a plus.
- Ability to work under time constraints with a large and diverse group of internal customers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both oral and written

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
