Overview
The Sr. Financial Analyst is a key member of the Global Material and Logistics Finance team and will be the primary contact for all financial freight and inventory information. The Sr. Financial Analyst will assist in the overall direction and administration of the Global Material and Logistics team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be the project lead for developing the new Cummins-Meritor Global Freight reporting and financial process including building the global freight forecasting process
- Track key metrics against the Annual Operating Plan, monthly forecast, prior quarter and prior year for inventory and freight.
- Perform month end duties including, but not limited to inventory performance tracking, logistics performance tracking, and aftermarket material analysis.
- Develop strong relationships with functional business partners to open a clear communication to improve financial accuracy and overall business decision-making
- Assist with material annual standard cost updates
- Ensure compliance with all Cummins-Meritor Financial Policies and Guidelines.
- Ability to function in a changing environment and meet scheduled deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate from idea to design through project implementations, always mindful of customer concerns
- Ability to present finance and accounting information effectively to all levels within the business
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Excellent PC skills required including Excel, PowerPoint & Word
- Strong presentation and communication skills required; (both verbal and written)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred
- Oracle experience preferred
- Prior standard cost experience preferred
This position is eligible for Cummins-Meritor’s Incentive Compensation Plan, which offers payouts based on company performance.
