Ferguson IT group is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Senior Business Systems Analyst, Enterprise Information Management (EIM), Master Data Management (MDM).
**This role is approved to sit 100% remote. If local to the Newport News, VA area, you will have the option for in-office work out of our HQ3 facility.**
The Senior MDM BSA is responsible for successful implementation of new technologies that enable the ingestion & syndication of data for several cloud-based MDM applications in support of Ferguson’s omni channel, data, and digital transformation programs. Once the systems and processes are live, they will partner with the Enterprise Data Team to support and evolve the capabilities. Work will require eliciting functional and technical requirements for the development team to improve, enrich, onboard new integrations, through a led road map and plan that transforms and grows the data.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analyzing business needs to identify use cases, and if necessary new processes, process improvements that will meet those needs.
- Responsible for elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and user requirements.
- Analyze detailed system factors including input/output requirements, information and process flow, data, integration, controls, security, hardware, and software needs.
- Lead business and IT teams in the analysis, design, development, and implementation (set-up, testing, support, training, and enhancements) of data services for master data.
- Collaborate with business process team and the functional delivery manager (FDM) to ensure that user stories and changes are delivered to Production with appropriate coordination and training.
- Align with the EIM SOX BSA to ensure all solutions are implemented with proper security and control measures in place and documented.
- Coordination of remediation plans and progress for all identified IT Control deficiencies.
- Work with Product Owners to provide estimates for LOE and ETA.
- Assist withthe prioritization and sizing of business requirements demonstrating the MoSCoW (Must Have, Should Have, Could Have, Won't Have) approach.
- Evaluate the impact of potential software and process changes on the organization.
- Write test scripts and use cases as needed.
- Perform unit testing and functional testing as needed.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and partner with product owner(s) applying basic agile practices.
- Conducts system demonstrations, training sessions, as well as participate in design/review of training content.
- Solves problems and works to resolve issues with production systems.
- Effective communication and collaboration in a variety of formal/informal settings including strong presentation skills.
- Provide mentorship to junior level associates.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Related or Business-Related field is required to perform at expectation.
- Minimum of 7 years business analysis experience is typically required.
- Detail oriented, proactive, creative, efficient, and an active listener with the ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Intermediate level abilities in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.
- Ability to work on simultaneous projects, show expertise in one business domain.
- Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and non-written format.
- Able to work with minimal supervision in a very dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle methodologies, processes and procedures.
- Work independently or as a member of a project team responsible for providing technical guidance concerning the business implications of the application of various systems.
- Ability to analyze and understand user documentation (required) and code/configuration (highly desired).
- Proficient in a variety of formal/informal presentation settings: one-on-one, small and large group.
- Ability to effectively analyze and provide technical consulting on complex projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle (Finance, Fusion, Product Hub, etc.), Cloud PaaS/SaaS, or other master data management experience preferred but not required
- Basic understanding and knowledge on:
- Azure Subscriptions/Resource groups
- Integrations w/ Azure Functions and Azure Data Factory
- DB Concepts w/ SQL (Azure Synapse) and No-SQL DB (Azure Cosmos DB)
- Pub/Sub Messaging using Azure Service Bus
- Azure Kubernetes Services and App Containerization
- Frontend/Backend Architecture Approach
- CI/CD Azure Pipelines/ GitHub Actions
- Azure AD
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence is preferred.
- Technical background in applications development with accompanying understanding of the many architectures and platforms leveraged in today’s cloud-driven solutions.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
