JOB SUMMARY
This individual is responsible to plan and implement habilitative/rehabilitative programs for individuals who exhibit speech/language/swallowing problems.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s degree in the area of Speech/Language Pathology required
Experience: Must have demonstrated competence in an acute patient care setting for at least one year CFY supervision is available for those with no experience
Special Skills and Competencies:
1. Current licensure from the Iowa Department of Public Health
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is desirable.
3. Special aptitudes include tact, understanding and compassion and ability tocommunicate well with other professionals, patients and their families, both verbal andwritten.
