I. JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Administration
Location: Durham, NC
Reports to: Pricing Manager
II. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Supports Pricing and Operations by verifying, entering and communicating pricing information.
III. RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
None
IV. BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
V. SUPERVISION REQUIRED
Limited supervision.
- EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor Degree with Business Major preferred.
- TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Excellent analytical skills a must. Must have strong PC skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel. Exceptional knowledge of office products a must. Have a thorough understanding of product price and its relationship with product cost in order to develop pricing policy recommendations. Must have excellent reasoning and critical thinking skills as well as extreme attention to detail.
VIII. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Two years experience as pricing specialist or similar position.

- SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain database of revenues produced by the competitive shop zones.
- Understanding trends in the Company and industry performance and relate them to the performance of assigned markets.
- Interacting with other market development professionals to gather market data.
- Prepare report of price schedules internally and externally.
- Calculate and communicate to Manager expected impact of proposed pricing changes.
- Monitor and report actual impact of pricing changes.
- Review proposed discount programs and determine potential impact on revenues, report findings to manager.
- Produce segment profitability and other reports monthly.
- Develop revenue forecasts for assigned markets.
- Establish and maintain multiple price levels for manufacturing, distribution, and retail markets.
- Work with store managers to set up competitive price shops.
- Establish localized price levels.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a moderate office environment. The employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and use hands.
XII. WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When in the Manufacturing area, hearing protection may be required depending on the department.
