Responsibilities
Job Description
Dynamic Energy Solutions, LLC (“Dynamic Energy”) seeks a paralegal with 3 or more years’ experience to serve as a Solar Paralegal. The Solar Paralegal will be responsible for assisting Dynamic Energy’s Legal Department in managing regulatory, contractual, and real estate matters in connection with commercial solar photovoltaic projects at both utility and distributed generation scales. Under the supervision of the General Counsel and working with the Chief Development Officer, the Solar Paralegal will have direct responsibility for:
- Preparing easements, options to lease, leases, and related documents based on existing templates for presentation to landowners, and coordinating with attorneys during document revisions and negotiations;
- Document management, including coordinating final signatures, compiling original documents, ensuring deeds and execution versions are properly stored, and managing data in Salesforce;
- Ensuring new site control agreements are recorded in the land records in a timely manner and coordinating with legal and landowner contacts to satisfy jurisdictional requirements;
- Assisting in managing Dynamic Energy’s real estate portfolio, including managing payments under site control agreements, tracking expiration dates of agreements, etc.;
- Ordering title searches and commitments from title companies;
- Assisting in compilation, preparation and review of documents required for project financing;
- Assisting the General Counsel in forming and managing project-specific entities in multiple jurisdictions; and
- Other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.
Qualifications
Requirements
The successful candidate must possess at least the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a law firm or in-house setting performing duties similar to the job duties listed above;
- Ability to work independently and creatively in a growing company with a high volume of transactions; and
- Preferably, experience in real estate leasing or title matters.
This position may be based in our Wayne, PA headquarters office or the candidate may be remotely located. Remote work for candidates local to Wayne, PA is also available.
Compensation
The Solar Paralegal will be a full-time, non-exempt, hourly/salaried position. Dynamic Energy’s compensation for the right candidate is highly competitive and includes a performance-based bonus program.
