Fastrac Installation Services, part of Fastrac Energy Services, who is one of the largest and fastest growing residential solar companies in the Gulf Coast. We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team. Electricians must be well versed in residential wiring and able to coordinate with multiple crew members during the install process. The Journeyman Electrician will oversee the electrical portions of the installation including wiring, grounding, interconnection, as well as inspections (rough & final city electrical inspections) and utility witness tests, as needed. You will maintain a state certification in the field of Electrical Journeyman or higher. You can expect to install and direct the work of all mechanical portions of solar electric installations relating to array layouts, array racking and module installation - either roof- or ground-mounted.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of our customers’ residential properties
• Assist the Lead Installer with the installation of racking, modules, inverter, combiner boxes, grounding, etc.
• Ensure work performed by all electricians is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes;
• Review system and interconnection design for adherence to Electrical Code (NEC)
• Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues.
• Work with the roof installation team and homeowners to fulfill any necessary system upgrades or repairs to support our solar equipment.
• Attend electrical inspections as needed on behalf of the company.
• Help to ensure all necessary electrical materials and tools arrive to the job site
• Assist with completion of installation reports and commissioning reports, as needed
• Perform system commissioning and function checks
• Ensure the safety of yourself, team members, and customers always

REQUIREMENTS:

• **Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license**
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician is required
• Strong understanding for electrical systems and how they operate
• Ability to read an interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
• Ability to use tools and software, read and interpret data and information, and problem solve
• Excellent communication skills, such as active listening and speaking clearly
• Attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
• Must have clean MVR

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Texas Journeyman License
• OSHA 10 hour
• Comfortably able to lift 40lbs, climb ladders, work with tools, work in crawl spaces, and work on high rooftops (as needed) in varying hot and cold temperatures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

License/Certification:
