We are currently hiring for an Experienced Soil Stabilization Foreman for our Stout Excavating Group Tx Soil Stabilization Division.

A1 Excavating is a Wisconsin based Underground Utility Contractor specializing in Excavating, Site Clearing and Underground Utilities. With over 40 years of experience in the WI, MN region, A1 is a top competitor for all water main, sanitary and storm Sewer work in the region. Stout Excavating Group (SEG) operates in the high growth aggregate mining industry primarily focused on mining and civil construction in multiple states across the United States. The A-1 Companies maintain offices in both Bloomer, WI and Converse, TX.

Job Position

Soil Stabilization Foreman

Stout Excavating Group Texas LLC is currently seeking a Soil Stabilization Foreman with a minimum of three years' experience supervising a crew of 2 to 4 people and performing treatment of soils with cement and lime to support stabilization operations throughout the company. The Stabilization department is a critical component to Stout Excavating Group Texas's years of success in the construction industry and requires dedicated workers to ensure productivity.

The Soil Stabilization Foreman will be responsible for overseeing stabilization projects including management of personal, coordinating equipment, and communication with company leadership and customers. Responsibilities include:

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage stabilization crews consisting of various skills and abilities. Activities include scheduling, time/attendance, performance and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate travel for team which includes transportation and lodging.
• Reading and interpreting site plans/prints/job designs.
• Operates multiple types of heavy equipment such as milling machine, broom, tack truck, cement truck, lime truck and/or roller to prepare undeveloped job sites to meet job required grades.
• Reclamation/stabilization of existing roadbeds and soil followed by grading new roads in preparation for asphalt.
• Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals.
• General housekeeping and maintenance checks of equipment including reporting usage/utilization hours on a daily basis.
• Working in varying weather conditions.
• Keep company work site clean and orderly, informing management of any safety concerns.
• Comply with all SEGTX policies, procedures and safety requirements.
• Perform any other general duties as specified.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• 3+ Years of managing construction related crews.
• 3+ Years of equipment operation experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining a RM 400-500 Reclaimer Mixer
• Experience operating at least three or more pieces of earth moving equipment (dozer, grader, etc...).
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting site plans/job designs and ability to communicate requirements to employees.
• Ability to travel on short notice. Position may require overnight travel for extended periods.
• Must obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire and maintain throughout term of employment.
• Proficient meeting site fine grade requirements with multiple types of equipment.
• Must meet SEG TX employment standards with regards to background checks.
• Have the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Must have a Valid Driver's License
• Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Flexible availability to include overtime and possible weekends.
• Work environments will vary making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as rain and extreme temperatures. Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, loud noises, etc.

Preferred Skills

• TX DOT roadway reclamation experience
• Must be able travel.
• Must have a Valid Driver's License
