The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented Frontend Engineer who enjoys doing hands-on development using Elixir and Phoenix framework. You will be designing and building platform-based features that serve Mindful Care’s business needs and will have opportunities to contribute to product and architectural decisions. This role will be part of a team of engineers, IT, product managers and designers focused on improving the Mindful Care patient and provider experiences.

The Position

The primary responsibilities of the positions are listed below:

  • Work closely with other developers and the Product team to develop and implement software features in a cloud-based environment using Kanban methodology.
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code that adheres to best practices, with an emphasis on performance, scalability and responsive design.
  • Integrate with backend data to populate and build the interface.
  • Manage and deploy applications across environments using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Build HTML pages using Tailwind CSS (primary for desktop but also responsible for mobile friendly access)
  • Evaluate Figma wireframes and website mock-ups supplied by the designers and translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual UI.
  • Debug the front end and reporting bugs to team as needed.

The primary objectives of the role are listed below:

  • Contribute to building a culture of support, creativity and learning within the product development team and wider departments.
  • Adhere to best practice principles for development, including source control, build, testing and deployment.
  • Build an optimal user experience that meets the requirements specified by the Product team and fulfills the end user’s needs.

Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years’ experience developing with Elixir and Phoenix.
  • Experience building healthcare related interfaces, preferably patient or provider solutions.
  • Skilled experience with HTML, Javascript and CSS.
  • Familiarity with best practices for implementing responsive UI design on web and mobile.
  • Practical experience with integrating Google Analytics.
  • Some experience and/or knowledge with backend development (example Ruby, Python, Elixir)
  • Experience with Elixir, Phoenix and LiveView and/or understanding of their core concepts.
  • You have experience architecting, evolving, and managing relational database systems.
  • Familiarity with services such as AWS and Aptible.
  • Location: Must be in EST time zone and able to travel to West Hempstead, NY office on occasion.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $95,000- $105,000 In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FTO, and company holidays to name a few. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
