JOB SUMMARY:
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Provide standard and clinical supervision to staff members utilizing a variety of supervisory methodologies.
  • Manage and process crisis situations with program staff and clients.
  • Maintain electronic medical record training and be able to train new staff and maintain the ability to assist staff with questions and concerns.
  • Review all treatment records and reports pertaining to the treatment and the rendering of services to clients and provide direction for documentation improvement.
  • Managing staff and department within span of control, including but not limited to: making recommendations with particular weight as to the interviewing, selecting, hiring, and termination of staff; setting and adjusting hours of work; onboarding and training staff; directing work and assignments; appraising and evaluation of staff work performance; handling of staff complaints and grievances; and disciplining employees.
  • Responsible for participating in monthly Total Quality Management Committee meetings, actively implementing the agency’s quality improvement initiatives within their assigned areas, monitoring the implementation and adherence to the established quality improvement initiatives, activities and policies

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Must possess and retain current Master's licensure by the State of Michigan: LMSW, LLP or LPC.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience in examining, evaluating and treating children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disability diagnoses and utilizing relevant treatment modalities.
  • Must have some leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Must meet the requirements for a Children’s Mental Health Professional (CMHP) within 120 days of hire.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a favorable driving record.
  • Cannot accept candidates who are on student/work visas, and/or require sponsorship to work in the U.S. at this time
  • Michigan State License
  • LPC, LMSW, LLP, or the respective limited license.
