- Compound isolation using preparative LC chromatography and basic NMR for identification within the chemical process development group.
- Work with minimal guidance to identify routes to impurities. Independently perform milligram to grams-scale organic chemistry experiments to synthesize identified impurities.
- Analytical HPLC, GC, MS, and NMR for small molecule analysis (for synthetic routes that are still classified as “development routes” – methods will not be qualified).
- Execute testing of assigned analysis type (specific test methods) for routine sample submissions.
- Install test methods on equipment in chemical process development labs.
- Identify and help to resolve equipment and basic test method issues – expertise in Chem Station and Empower.
- Reference Standard/Impurity marker management/Data Management – Management of reference standard and impurity markers inventory, facilitation of standard dispensing/submission through LIMS. Ensure all defined external analytical data is put into internal software share-point site to help scientists access the data.
- Shipping of samples to vendor sites/storage facilities including weighing out samples filling out shipping documentation, liaison with shipping compliance group.
- MS in organic chemistry with minimum 5 years of experience in synthesis of small molecules or PhD in organic chemistry.
- Experience in isolation, synthesis, purification, and identification of small molecule compounds.
- Experience in the design and execution of multistep organic chemistry laboratory experiments including reaction and isolation methods.
- Experience in HPLC, GC, MS, and NMR analysis of small molecule compounds.
- Well versed in the design of synthetic routes leading to complex small molecules.
Additional Information
