Job Description:
The Site Director will be a dynamic, energetic individual with proven, strong leadership and communication skills who can both lead and influence change. The position is directly responsible for planning, budgeting, production and overall quality of the manufacturing facility. This position will require significant leadership experience within a capital goods manufacturing assembly environment and be responsible for support activities that ensure only quality parts are produced on time, competitively and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Also, it directs the development and establishment of essential technical manufacturing processes to accommodate the constant introduction of new changes into the facility. Plans, organizes, integrates and reviews staffing resources with the production function to successfully meet production demands.
Job QualifIcations
Education/Training: Bachelor of Science degree in Business or Engineering required
Experience: Minimum of 10 years progressive manufacturing management experience, of which 7 years must include managing and directing activities of supervisors and developing people
Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills
Experience with lean manufacturing/continuous improvement work
Exceptional HR skills with experience developing direct reports
Ability to work cross-functionally with both plant and corporate staff
Computer skills
Superior problem solving abilities
Must have excellent communication skills and possess ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
High degree of results orientation, drive, energy, resiliency and enthusiasm necessary to influence improvements in the existing structure, business processes and methods of operation

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, production and overall quality of the products produced in the facility
  • Develop business plans, budgets, staffing plans, forecasts, implement lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Direct production and ensure cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed safety, quality, accuracy and performance standards
  • Expert “hands-on” knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery.
  • Insure plant property and equipment is maintained in good condition to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and ensure effective and economical operations
  • Prepare and submit operating reports to management to inform them of the current production status and make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assure effective customer service through timely delivery of a quality product
  • Select, train, develop and motivate manufacturing staff and team members
  • Assure compliance of all plant operations with company policies and federal, state and local regulations
Physical requirements
  • Fairly light physical activity generally associated with an office environment, including standing and walking on production floor; exposure to noise and other environmental conditions while in the production area.
