My name is Gary and I'm the owner/founder of Deer Valley Woodworks. We build unique furniture and cabinetry from wood and steel. I started this business out of my garage while working a regular job, and we've been growing steadily since day one. Over the past few years I've made some great hires and we are now an amazing team of about 12 people. We have a fabrication shop of about 13,500 sq/ft just off I-65/Hwy 30 in Merrillville, IN. It's a good team, some guys have a over 30 years of experience, and a few from the team are just learning the trade. Because we've grown so much, I've found that managing the shop while taking care of sales and running the business is just more than I can do- I need help.

I'm looking for an experienced wood shop fabricator to be our new Shop Foreman. This person needs to have had several years of experience working in a professional woodworking/cabinetry shop, preferably in a lead role. This will be a working position, so strong knowledge and expertise of the woodworking trade is definitely required. You'll be supervising a team of about ten people. Directing the flow of work as necessary to meet production deadlines, training staff on equipment, providing support to the team daily, and overseeing material & general shop needs. You will be a working foreman, and will be directly producing work at your bench while managing the production of the overall shop.
