Summary:

  • Manages all inventory and tracking of materials.
  • Creates production schedules based on customer orders and line capacity.
  • Determines and oversees production and shipment goals.
  • Communicates and coordinates with logistics and procurement when inventory levels go below production needs.
  • Follows the inventory reduction program by evaluating inventory levels to prevent and/or identify excess.
  • Utilizing schedules developed by Division Production Control Manager and/or the Material Planning Manager, monitors sequence and lead times of manufacturing operations.
  • Performs the necessary system transactions for the receipt, storage and transferring of material.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in inventory and production control. A 4-year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management is required with certification in supply chain management favored
  • Should have analytical and technical skills to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities
  • Advanced computer skills and an understanding of electronic processing is necessary
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with all internal and external contacts
  • Should be an innovator and embrace lean enterprises principles and practices.
