Sam's Tire Service in Glencoe MN has a full time service writer position open. We are a fast paced shop with a loyal customer base. We specialize in repair and replacement of automotive tires, commercial tires, and agricultural tires. Other services offered include; alignments (auto/semi), brakes, diagnostics, suspension, exhaust, oil change, fluid services, A/C, on-site tire service, and DOT inspections.

Service writer responsibilities include:

• Opening and closing store.
• Greeting customers and accurately documenting customer concerns.
• Act as a liaison between customers and technicians.
• Assigning work to technicians based on the level of skill required.
• Manage time needed for each repair and schedule for efficient shop flow.
• Preparing work orders and advise customers on cost of needed repairs.
• Finalizing invoices and collecting payments.

Service writers need to be personable, dependable, organized, and know basic computer skills.

An automotive or agricultural background would be beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
