What you’ll do:
- Systematically inspect repair orders and any supporting documentation for proper signatures and narrative.
- Fortify the relationship with on-site service advisors and customers as well as the off-site scheduling center (Guest Experience Center).
- Ensure that the rental fleet is reconciled on a regular basis with open R.O.’s.
- Direct service shop work flow observing capacity, efficiencies, and technician skills levels.
- Ensure that technician hours are properly accounted for and registered.
- Inspect procedures and ensure that department policies are executed.
- Partner with scheduling to ensure that shop capacity is accurate and technicians have work.
- Support all lube bay and service drive activities throughout the day.
- Actively resolve escalated concerns and follow up in a timely manner.
- Support service advisors in their daily functions.
- Provide all necessary tools, support and equipment to perform daily operations.
- Manage service department budget and reporting on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Support all needs for service department leaders.
- Lead the department in short and long-term goals ensuring open feedback.
- Attend and participate in meetings with store, department, and teams.
- Proactively observe, anticipate, and resolve service concerns ranging from procedural in-house to customer enthusiasm concerns.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of service department financials.
