SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a Service Line Business Development Director to join our Portfolio Management and Growth team. This full-time role will primarily work hybrid mostly remote.
Purpose of this position: Works closely with clinical leadership and clinical operations to develop strategic growth and customer service strategies; including identification, evaluation, business planning, assessment, and execution of strategies aimed at improving or growing specific lines of service

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides business planning leadership and support for the development of comprehensive services, in coordination with leadership, clinical programs, and other cross-functional departments
- Investigates and produces market and landscape assessments, supporting over-arching business plans to development specific services
- Develops new business/referral sources inside and outside of HHS as appropriate and assigned, primarily related to trauma and critical care services
- Retains existing business/referral sources
- Develops long-term referral source business development/volume objectives of assigned service lines and plans programs and activities to meet those goals
- Develops, implements, administers, and modifies referral source outreach/sales program for selected service lines
- Provides coordination for HHS sponsored educational activities for referral sources in support of assigned service lines
- Suggests services and improvements in procedures that will enhance relationships with current referral sources
- Manages outreach and physician liaison staff functions
- Coordinates work with relevant access-related functions and services, e.g., Referral Center, Outreach Program Coordinator, Hennepin Connect, Patient Access Services, etc.
- Coordinates activities with OMD, PR/Marketing and Outreach, and clinical staff for planning/execution of physician/referral source events
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, healthcare, or business administration
- At least five years of experience healthcare industry – focused on business planning and development or related activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate clearly and grammatically both complex and simple messages to a wide audience either within or outside of the organization
- Strong background in analysis, business development, and strategic planning
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (email communications, scheduling, presentation development and spreadsheet and database analysis, word processing)
- Clearly articulates and embraces the vision, mission, and values of HHS in all communications
- Team oriented – seeking to share information and collaborate on business growth initiatives
