YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)
The server is responsible for the overall experience of the guests. It is the server who will take drink and food orders, communicate specials, recommend items, and manage the overall care of our guests. A server should be comfortable with their guests while maintaining a professional attitude. You will recommend food, cocktails, beer, and wine. You must be able to multitask while staying cool under all situations presented to you.
THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)
- Greet and guide guests throughout their dining experience making insightful and timely suggestions on ordering.
- Place all orders into the POS accurately.
- Create memorable experiences for guests and create repeat customers, positive word of mouth business
- Ensure guest satisfaction through food quality checks and responsiveness to guest complaints
- Maintain a well-groomed neat and clean appearance, carrying out duties with attention to sanitation safety
- Anticipate, identify, and provide for guest needs
- Perform side work duties on daily basis and other duties as assigned
WHAT IT TAKES (The Qualities We Look For)
- Transport trays and/or plates which may weigh up to 50 pounds, as well as serve food items and beverages
- Review and comprehend necessary documentation
- Standing and walking throughout an eight-hour shift
- Effectively and efficiently move throughout work area
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers alike
- Work in an environment that has varying levels of smoke, crowds, and noise the severity of which depends upon customer volume
- Familiarity with food, beverage, and wine service
- Knowledge of table service, ability to carry a tray and multiple plates in hand
- Knowledge of table etiquette - open handed service
- Knowledge of proper table set up for catered events
- These skills and abilities are typically acquired through three (3) years serving in a full-service restaurant, banquet, or catering experience
MUST HAVE'S
- Previous working experience as compliance manager for 5+ years
- Knowledge and understanding of the industry's regulations and best practices
- Hands-on experience with a variety of reporting operations and procedures
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver
