Wireless RF Engineer

The position will support the Telecommunications Construction Engineering group. The Telecom Engineer will be designing electrical drawings, working with the construction engineers, and preparing bills of materials. Support the design and engineering process by planning and preparing drawings for construction of new, and removal or rearrangement of existing fiber optic cables, and conduits to obtain optimum and economical utilization of communications facilities. The role commands a broad knowledge of aerial, buried, underground and building entrance design.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Engineering and design for SCADA and tower projects, that include civil prints such as site layouts and grounding, tower prints such as tower profile and coax assemblies, and electrical drawings such as rack front views and one-lines in MicroStation.

· Collect information necessary to complete drawings from verbal communications, sketches, marked prints, field notes, vendor’s catalogs, and technical reference manuals.

· Create and verify bills of materials are accurate.

· Determine and write purchase requisitions.

· Complete cost estimates.

· Follow safe work habits and adhere to all safety rules and practices.

· Comply with company guidelines, policies, and procedures.

· Interact with multiple teams within Transmission, Distribution, Generation, and peer groups within the Telecom organization

· Lead, facilitate, and coordinate work activities of others within the work group, team, department, or those external to complete projects

· Provide support in acquiring new business.

· Develop, recommend, and implement plans by establishing goals, objectives, and requirements that include all scheduling, resources, and cont information for complex projects

· Provide training and guidance to lower-level employees

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
