Join our Macy’s Distribution Center team, as a Senior Manager of Outbound Transportation! This role is responsible for all store delivery transportation and furniture and bedding home delivery in one of three regions. This role provides multi-site leadership for transportation of product from our store delivery centers (SDC) to our stores. This role also provides multi-site leadership for home delivery of furniture and bedding from our store delivery centers (SDC) and delivery hubs to our customers. The Senior Manager will balance customer and financial outcomes inclusive of delivery speed, cost, service, and on-time delivery. The Senior Manager of Outbound Transportation will report directly to the Director of Outbound Transportation. This role can be remote in the Los Angeles, CA vicinity, but you will be asked to go to our offices on an as needed basis, based in our City of Industry, CA Distribution Facility. A relocation bonus may be offered to the right candidate if necessary.

Essential Functions:
- Implements Macy’s store delivery and home delivery strategy with a focus on continuous improvement
- Integrates inbound and outbound transportation moves to optimize efficiency
- Establishes best in class partnerships with our dedicated and third-party carriers
- Collaborates with operations to align operating models and deliver the best possible service to our stores and customers
- Cultivates knowledge sharing and implementation of best practices and standards within the region
- Leverage’s data and analytics to identify opportunities for cost and performance improvement
- Ensures all equipment is properly maintained within the region and contributes to capital planning
- Manages the performance of dedicated and third-party delivery providers through key performance indicators
- Partners with finance on annual and monthly budget planning and key financial metrics
- Focuses on effective team member development and career growth
Competencies:
- Minimum of a 4 year/Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Transportation, etc.
- Working understanding of transportation management tools (Blue Yonder, etc.).
- Effective cross functional collaboration approach.
- Analytics and data driven decision making.
- Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner.
- Ability to effectively plan and execute strategies.
- Ability to solve problems as well as recognize issues and deal with them directly.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around facility or department
- Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic equipment.
- May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision
- Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
Supply Chain Only and Colleagues Working in a Supply Chain Facility except in locations governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement:
Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis, depending upon factors including but not limited to the size of the facility and the number of colleagues on roll. Colleagues will be randomly selected for testing by a third party. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection for testing, absent extenuating circumstances. In all circumstances, testing must be completed within 24 hours of notification.
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses in addition to the attached Benefits. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.

Pay: $85,320.00 - $142,080.00 per year
