We are a growing trucking and logistics company comprised of 3 unique subsidiary business units as part of our PS Trucking Family of Companies. We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Sales Manager to support our plans for continued expansion through the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West. Focused on filling our Assets and Warehouse Space, and partnering with our Brokerage division for continued success. This position has a strong career path as we grow.

PAY: Position is a combination of base salary and commission. We are open to discussing 100% commission for uncapped compensation potential.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to promote the company’s truckload, warehouse, and brokerage services.; Manage customer interactions to foster relationships, making calls, location visits and closing deals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads to expand the company’s customer base.
  • Responsible for growing your own book of business including revenue and margin, rating, and pricing.
  • Accountability for sales and customer onboarding.
  • Analyze customer needs and provide customized transportation solutions that provide value and support the customer’s business strategy as a true partner with PS Trucking, Inc.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with customers to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and update customer information and sales activity in the company’s CRM system.; Leverage CRM to identify, call and track prospects.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to remain competitive.
  • Perform QBRs Quarterly Business Reviews to top customers.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Ability to build and lead a winning sales team that build on the strong commercial presence in the PNW.

Secondary Functions:

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company’s services.
  • Support VP of Sales in process improvement and staff development.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
  • Prepares and presents presentations to existing and potential customers as needed.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Associate degree, bachelor’s preferred.
  • 3+ years’ Transportation Sales, Business Development.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to persuade, motivate and influence others.
  • Self-driven, results orientated, with a positive outlook and focus on high quality and business profitability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
  • Excellent lead generation, cradle to grave hunter approach to sales.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time.
