Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with the leaders in the field of in vitro diagnostics in its search for a Senior Research Scientist

More positions available:

Research Associate (BS, 1+ yr of experience in a lab): 60-70k

Associate scientist (BS/MS, ~5 yrs of experience in lab, including MS): 70-80k

Scientist (MS/PhD, 2-5yrs): 80-100K

Sr. Scientist (MS/PhD, 5+ yrs): 100-120k

Your day-to-day responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

• Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to develop in vitro diagnostic products
• Lead projects and teams on completing assay-related milestones
• Train and mentor Jr. staff
• Design and implement experiments to develop and optimize assays on the bench and within consumable devices
• Analyze results utilizing relevant statistical methods
• Summarize and communicate experimental data and draw conclusions independently
• Develop work instructions and SOPs (as necessary)
• Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for Project Team(s)
• Identify and resolve/troubleshoot assay and device performance issues

Education and Experience:

• BA/BS in life sciences and skills usually associated with 5+ years of lab experience or an MA/MS in life sciences with 3+ years relevant hands-on experience.
• Previous experience leading a project to completion
• Sound fundamental knowledge of chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, and/or related fields
• Previous experience with molecular diagnostics for instance DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, RT-PCR, qPCR, and DNA sequencing
• Previous experience designing PCR assays and related methods highly desired
• Previous experience working on in vitro diagnostic products highly desired
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary teams
• Knowledge of quality system regulations (e.g. ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, etc.) and processes a plus
• Appropriate computer skills (e-mail, word processing, excel, graphing and analytic software)
