General Summary

The Senior Production Test Engineer will be a member of the Engineering team and will be responsible for all aspects of Production testing for the products developed by the design team. Our team designs wireless modules and systems for industrial, medical, and other similar high-value markets.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Develop test automation for manufacturing wireless modules, sensors, and access points for the IoT market.


Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain manufacturing test sets for electronic products for the IoT market.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing test software and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO certification documentation.
  • Work closely with HW and FW developers to develop test plans for new designs.
  • Support manufacturing testing at the U.S. and Asian manufacturing facilities.
  • Develop schematics, parts lists, wiring diagrams, and assembly diagrams for test sets.
  • Develop test software using higher-level structured programming techniques.

Required Qualifications

  • Expertise in developing software tools for Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Expertise with Python programming language.
  • Experience with software version control.
  • Experience using SQL database for logging test data.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with overseas Contract Manufacturers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • RF and radio testing, including familiarity with RF test equipment.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP for communication with devices under test.
  • Familiarity with RS-232 async serial for communication with devices under test.
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux, Raspberry Pi, and Arduino for quick prototyping.
  • Expertise with C and C# programming languages.
  • Experience with and desire to work in a small lab environment, where you are the expert and wear multiple hats.
  • Experience with other industry standard interfaces (RS-485, Ethernet, GPIB, etc.).

Travel

infrequent travel is required.
