The successful candidate serves a vital role in providing essential support to the Department of Public Safety Communications. The Department is a diverse and dynamic organization that provides critical emergency services to the citizens, visitors, and businesses in Prince William County.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The ideal candidate will be a strong multi-tasker, independent worker, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Responsibilities include overseeing the hiring process, purchasing, accounts payable, financial activities, management and statistical analysis, program development and policy recommendation. This position also supervises the fiscal specialist and background investigators. Candidate will have access to confidential and sensitive information and must demonstrate a high level of integrity and trust.

PREFERENCES:
The successful candidate will have:

• 
  Bachelor’s Degree in public or business administration, accounting, or related field
• 4 years of related professional management analysis or fiscal analysis experience
• Recent/current supervisory experience at a professional level
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, NeoGov (or similar), Mobius (or similar), eSOPH (or similar) and Ultimus (or similar)

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
The normal schedule is Monday through Friday in 8-hour increments, but the ever changing and challenging dynamics in the Communications Center may demand some short notice adjustments to work schedule. May include some after hours and weekends.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must pass a post-conditional offer comprehensive background investigation, including criminal history check, drug testing, psychological and polygraph assessments.

ENTRY SALARY RANGE:
$62,613.00 - $77,453.00 Annually
