How you’ll make an impact:
The Senior Performance Studio Engineer works on all facets of the day to day studio and performance operations of the SiriusXM + Pandora Miami broadcast facility. This position supports the technical and creative needs related to the production of on-air content in the facility. The Performance Studio Operations department is on call 24/7 and is responsible for the management of all studio activity, including, but not limited to, live music performance recording, mixing and mastering utilizing the Pro Tools DAW platform and Solid State Logic recording consoles. The role must be quickly adaptable to changing conditions and requirements related to working with artists and Programming and help implement the best possible solution within the smallest time frame to any issue that may arise. A strong background in Digital Audio Workstations, the MacOS platform and state of the art recording equipment is preferred, with good troubleshooting skills and an ability to learn.

What you’ll do:

• Primary duties include all tasks related to the recording, mixing, mastering and archiving of live music performances in our studios across the entire SiriusXM + Pandora Programming platform in a professional recording studio environment
• Work includes studio setup and break down, microphone placement, musical instrument maintenance, music editing and mastering for recorded performances and assembly/completion of multi-track remixes on recorded performances to ensure the highest possible quality, working on the Pro Tools HD DAW platform.
• The Engineer also assists in the booking of studio requests via the ScheduALL studio booking system responding to requests from all areas of Sirius XM Programming and fielding requests submitted via the online Service Now request system. This work includes resolving booking conflicts and maximizing the available space to allow for as much scheduled activity as possible.
• Provides support when necessary for Remote location production/engineering for any remote recording or broadcast whether production or post-production needs.
• Helps to provide support to Music and Talk Production departments in troubleshooting and instructing users of the Pro Tools DAW system and any related hardware/software, including software installation and hard drive maintenance.
• Works with the Broadcast Maintenance team to report any equipment malfunctions and assist with repairs when necessary.
• Helps to provide guidance and instruction to interns, reporting any issues that arise.
• Helps to maintain records and documentation on equipment and studio set-up instructions within the Broadcast Operations Sharepoint system.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Production and Engineering or 10 years equivalent work experience in Music Technology/Broadcasting/Audio Engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of Digital Audio Workstations, specifically the Pro Tools platform.
• Experience with multi-track music recording/mixing and state of the art equipment.
• Familiarity with Radio Broadcasting technology
• Ability to multi-task and shift priorities.
• Bilingual Spanish and English
• Must be able to work all shifts required in a 24/7 operation in a high pressure environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction
