About this Opportunity:
The Senior Manager, US Refined Products Marketing serves as a member of the Cenovus US Refined Products Leadership Team. Reporting to the VP, marketing this individual is responsible for managing a team that optimizes the placement and sale of refined products, including Cenovus equity and third-party supply, through all available channels to maximize Cenovus margin. This individual will manage a team of 4-6 direct reports.
This position is located at our US head office in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for revenue generation which can range from $12 to $15 billion US annually
Responsible for overseeing marketing, sales & supply activities for refined products including Gasoline, Diesel, & Jet fuel ensuring maximum value recognition for Cenovus.
Responsible for managing optimization of Cenovus equity & 3rd party supply of refined products
Drives the development of sales and supply forecasting, strategies, and sets appropriate metrics for performance management.
Key contributor to formulation of marketing and commercialization strategies for refinery output ensuring optimal yield, distribution, and sales channel.
Work closely with Commercial leaders to develop and regularly assess supply plans and forecast to proactively strategize on opportunities to improve the economics and effective marketing of products through efficient and effective supply and distribution planning
Lead team in achieving department objectives by providing team members with challenging opportunities for growth and development and building capacity and capability to meet current and future needs
Collaborate with other departments across the organization including but not limited to trading, logistics, manufacturing, value chain, business development, strategy, and finance.
Responsible for developing a high-performing team of Individual Contributors; including recruitment, coaching, mentoring and performance and compensation management
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Education level: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Commerce, Engineering or equivalent.
Master’s degree would be considered an asset.
A minimum of 15 years of related experience managing refined product wholesale sales & marketing, value chain/optimization activities, trading and/or logistics functions.
Collaborative team player with ability to work constructively within a close and often demanding team-working environment
Proven track record of leading high performing teams with a focus on executional excellence
Very strong business, commercial and financial acumen
Demonstrated experience in preparing and maintaining fiscally responsible budgets, strategic plans, and sales plans
Extensive experience in business development, relationship building and driving sales growth
Extensive knowledge of the Energy sector, focusing on Oil & Gas
Unquestionable ethics, integrity, and business judgment
Effective decision making in a fast past, always changing market environment
Ability to interface effectively with external customers, counterparties, JV partners, and consultants
