12 hour shifts Sun, Mon, Tues 7am-7pm, alternating Wednesdays

Rate: $22.50/hr + $3.00 Shift Premium

Role Summary: Works under the direct supervision of the Converting Production Supervisor. Provides excellent customer service by assuring daily scheduled production is completed in a timely and cost efficient manner.

What You'll Do:

• Assure daily scheduled production is completed in a timely and cost efficient manner.
• Thorough understanding of and ability to operate all machines in machine center (ie. Flexo/Folder/Gluer or Die Cutters or Press Operations).
• Coordinate work activities of machine assistants.
• Provide training for new operations personnel.
• Assure machine set up and removal of printing plates & cutting dies are done in a timely, orderly and cost efficient manner.
• Assure completed product meets specifications of customer needs.
• Assure customer expectations are consistently met in terms of quality, quantity, and product is produced in a timely manner consistent with established guidelines.
• Assure preventative maintenance schedule is consistently adhered to.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and general organization in the converting production areas.
• Support and provide suggestions for continuous improvement activities to improve processes and procedures.
• May occasionally operate powered industrial equipment (hilo).
• Maintain a consistent positive attendance point status.
• Support and adhere to internal quality and safety programs.

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 – 5 years direct corrugated manufacturing experience.
• Must possess ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Thorough understanding and ability to operate machine center operations.
• Willingness and ability to learn computer software.
• Thorough understanding of spec cards and correction of non-conforming product procedures.
• Thorough understanding of Standard Work Instructions.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand and twist over a long periods of time.
• Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and motivational skills.
• Ability to maintain diplomacy, confidentiality and tact essential, as individual has access to high levels of cost, design and company sensitive materials.
• Must be able to work with frequently changing priorities.
