Senior Landscape Purchasing Agent

We are looking for an energetic individual with a passion for Horticulture with an emphasis of Purchasing and building client relationships to join our team. The Dallas Landscape and Construction industry is booming, and we are needing to grow our team. This position will handle a wide range of important duties including but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing, acquiring, and coordinating the delivery of plant and construction material
• Negotiate the best pricing for product materials and their delivery
• Responsible for issuing and managing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, processing invoices, and tracking related job costs.
• Interdepartmentally builds relationships and supports the Project Management Team
• Sourcing, negotiating, and pricing current and prospective suppliers
• Prepare submittals for plants and selected hard materials when required
• Ensure that growers deliver high-quality material
• Reconcile and approve purchase orders and invoices for plants and selected hard materials
• Monitor plant palette inventories and coordinate with internal team members to ensure horticultural best practices

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of plant materials including shrubs, trees, and turf
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
• Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and vendors
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Background in Horticulture, Turf Management, Greenhouse or Nursery required
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
• 4 years of related experience
• Bilingual, a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
