Job Summary
The InfoSec Senior Security Engineer works within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and architects to craft, build and maintain integrated security solutions and patterns for the enterprise.
This engineering position will focus on Information Security technologies, participating Operating Systems (OS), Business applications, Cyber threat detection, and limited incident response activities as the need arises. This includes all security hardware, and software systems.
In addition this role will work closely with users, network, system infrastructure, and application teams to provide mentorship and best of practice solutions, to work on problems of a diverse scope where analysis of a situation requires evaluation and teamwork, and good judgment.

Responsibilities
Implement and maintain key security tools such as endpoint security, web and email security, threat intelligence, and identity and access management
Serve as Primary or Secondary Technology resource for InfoSec Engineering
Use logs and analysis tools to assist in Cyber threat detection and specify detection queries for SIEM consumption
Work with IT and other InfoSec team members to identify requirements, build and deploy technologies, and maintain their operational readiness, as per the Information Security System Development Lifecycle:
Plan – Scope work, collect requirements, assess impacts
Design – Architecture, Diagramming, Documentation
Deploy – Timely, complete, and with high quality
Operate – Upgrades and lifecycle management of technologies, policies, configurations. Monitor logs and perform operational assurance measures with occasional on-call duties. Tackle sophisticated issues for the assigned technology stacks.
Optimize – Continuous improvement of all technology investments
Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
Design, build, document, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) policy as code, and Security Operations and Analytics platforms

Qualifications
5+ years’ work experience in Information Security Engineering in a medium or large corporate environment; or a college degree in computer science, data communications, electrical or computer engineering and 4 years’ work experience.
Proven hands on experience with the following technologies:
Zscaler
Proofpoint
Crowdstrike
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Hands-on experience with Windows or Linux OS, networks, and enterprise security stacks (EDR, DLP, Proxies, API Gateways, Firewalls, CIEM, IAM, Email Gateways, encryption technology, key management, PKI, IDS/IPS, SIEM etc)
Strong proven understanding of how to implement secure systems using public cloud services (any of the major cloud providers)
Functional understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, load balancers, ports, practical network operations and solving
Ability to detect errors in logic, process, data, and system structure
Experience building automations and services in Python, Powershell, bash, etc
Experience with fixing the behavior of web UIs, web services, APIs
Knowledge of Authentication and Authorization technologies and methods (SAML, HMAC, OAuth etc)
Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation/orchestration tools
Broad knowledge of information technology and security controls in various application and infrastructure platforms including network (physical, virtual, internal, cloud), system platforms, storage, directory services, and end user computing
Multiple year experience in one or more of the following technologies:
Data Protection
Identity and Access Management
Cloud Security
Endpoint Protection
Preferred experience with the transformation of traditional data center security measures into industry accepted cloud technologies including Amazon, Azure, Google, etc
Proven track record to work within globally dispersed and multi-functional teams
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
- San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $134,000 to $242,000
- California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $128,000 to $231,000
- Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $116,000 to $210,000
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
